James Triggs

Managing Director, Advisory

Mr. Triggs is a Managing Director in Perella Weinberg Partners’ Advisory business.  He focuses on advising clients in the consumer and retail sectors.

Mr. Triggs has more than 14 years of investment banking experience assisting companies on a wide range of strategic matters.  During his tenure at Perella Weinberg Partners, he has advised Mayhoola on its acquisitions of Balmain, Anya Hindmarch, Grupo Forall, and Valentino; Majid Al Futtaim on its acquisition of Retail Arabia; Altria (the largest shareholder in SABMiller) on the acquisition of SABMiller by ABInBev; JDE on its disposal of Carte Noire; Technicolor on its acquisition of the Mill; Eutelsat on its acquisition of Satélites Mexicanos (Satmex); Liz Claiborne on its sale of Mexx; Verlinvest on its acquisition of ToLuna; WPP on its acquisition of Taylor Nelson Sofres; Inmarsat in connection with a proposed offer for Inmarsat by Harbinger Capital Partners and SkyTerra Communications; Olympus Corporation on its acquisition of Gyrus; and Thomson on its acquisition of Reuters.

Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners in September of 2006, Mr. Triggs was at Merrill Lynch from 2003 to 2006, where he most recently served as an Associate working for consumer and retail clients in Europe.

Mr. Triggs earned an MA from Cambridge University.
