Mr. Tam is an Executive Director in Perella Weinberg Partners’ Advisory business.  He focuses on advising clients in the Financial Institutions sector with a focus on the property & casualty and life insurance and insurance distribution sectors globally.

Mr. Tam has more than 11 years of investment banking experience assisting companies on a wide range of strategic matters.  During his tenure at Perella Weinberg Partners, he has advised Western & Southern Financial Group on its acquisition of Gerber Life Insurance; AIG on its acquisition of Validus Holdings; Willis on its merger with Towers Watson and acquisition of Miller Insurance; Prudential Financial on its 49% stake acquisition of PT Asuransi Jiwa Mega; Ed Broking on its sale of Creechurch Underwriters to Beazley; and Lightyear Capital on its sale of Swett & Crawford to BB&T.

Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners in May of 2014, Mr. Tam was at Credit Suisse from 2007 to 2014, where he most recently served as a Vice President responsible for advising property & casualty and life insurance and insurance distribution companies as part of the Global Financial Institutions Group.

At Credit Suisse, he actively worked with clients, advising Fidelity & Guaranty Life on its IPO; Third Point Re on its IPO, Lender Processing Services on its sale to Fidelity National; Voya Financial on its IPO; MetLife on its acquisition of ALICO from AIG; CSAM on its acquisition of a minority stake in York Capital; Paris Re on its sale to PartnerRe; Swiss Re on its sale of Conning & Co.; Ambac on its capital raise; and various other engagements.

Mr. Tam earned a Bachelor’s in Economics, magna cum laude, from New York University.
