Mr. Williams is a Partner in Perella Weinberg Partners’ Advisory business.  He focuses on advising clients in the Financial Services sector.

Mr. Williams has more than 30 years of investment banking experience assisting companies on a wide range of strategic matters.  During his tenure at Perella Weinberg Partners, he has advised a number of Europe’s largest financial institutions on both strategic and corporate finance assignments.

Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners in June of 2015, Mr. Williams was at Credit Suisse from 2009 to 2015, where he most recently served as Executive Vice Chairman of Global Financial Institutions and as a board member of Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) and Credit Suisse International.  He was previously a Managing Director at Citi, where he co-headed the Global Financial Institutions Corporate and Investment Banking business.  Prior to that, Mr. Williams was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs with responsibility for the EMEA Banks Advisory business. Mr. Williams began his career at Hill Samuel & Co. Limited.

Mr. Williams has worked actively with clients throughout his career, advising on varied transactions including HM Treasury’s recapitalisation of RBS, Citi’s sale of Citibank Deutschland, Sampo’s acquisition of if…, Resolution’s purchase of Friends Provident, the first listing on the NYSE for a Ghanaian company, Ashanti Goldfields, and the privatisations of the Czechoslovakian Industrial Glass and Cement industries.

Mr. Williams earned a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Birmingham University where he was a National Engineering Scholar.  He is a Member of the Council of Imperial College London and is a Donation Governor of Christ’s Hospital School in Horsham.
